The 2nd Team gained an excellent draw against Occasionals on Monday; it was a shock result and perhaps the result of the season. The 2nd team should now be safe from relegation. Occasionals have now lost sufficient points to secure them 3rd Place.
18/03/2004
3rd team beat Apollo on Monday 6 - 2. With the end of the season fast approaching they look set to finish 3rd or 4th in the second division. 09/03/2004
The 2nd team won their second league game in a row against Halewood last night. That result should move them out of the bottom two and with a Sangster cup semi-final still to come, the season is at last looking more respectful.
19/02/2004
Another success for the second team in the Sangster Cup. The team played Roby 1st on Wednesday and managed to take enough games to secure victory. The handicapping was very close, with at least 5 games that cound have gone either way. Many thanks to Linda and Denise who stepped in last minute and won their games.

A disappointing result for the 2nd team against Hilltop 2. A game we should have won we lost 2-6. If we could have fielded a full team and had not had a game claimed by the opposition then we would have achieved a better result. Clubs are all too keen these days to aquire points by whatever means.
4/11/2003
3rd team put on a good display last night to beat Roby 1st, Tipu Meah was on fire and easily won all his games.
29/10/2003
The 2nd team were beaten 6 - 2 by Hilltop 1st, after a mix up that meant Marie was the only women to turn up from the second team. Given a full team the result would have been quite different.
21/10/2003
Fords 1st played Ocassionals last night and won 6-2. A remarkable game where the whole team played at 100%. We only hope the team can keep it up throughout the season.
Well done to Rob W and Michelle who won a game of mixed.
The 3rd team had a disappointing result on sunday loosing 8 - 0 to South Liverpool 2nd
17/10/2003
Fords 1st managed to turn a team out on Friday and beat Hilltop 2, 8-0. Two of their ladies never turned up on the night and so 3 games were given away.
Fords 2nd beat Apollo 1st in the first round of the Sangster Cup competition. Score 12-6.
A good win considering we lost 2-6 the previous week and gave them a 4 point head start.
14/10/2003
A good win for the 3rd team, score 7 - 1 at home to Halewood 2nd. Victory never looked to be a doubt.
Fords 1st team beat Electric Hilltop 1, 8 - 0 on Monday 13th.
50% of you think the second team will have the best season, 33% say the 1st team will do better and 7% believe the 3rd team are the one s to watch
It seem that most people agreed with the selection committee in the teams they picked. Only 7% thought they had got it wrong, with a whooping 93% saying it was either spot on it the most part the right choices.
08/10/2003
Fords 2nd team tried hard but found it difficult beating Apollo 1, after a few close games the final score was 2-6. The best performance came from David the destroyer, the worst was Rob. The best result was 1st mens, which was a very convincing score 15-13, 15-4.
29/09/2003
Fords 1st team beat the 2nd team 7-1. We hope they continue this 'blitzrieg' tactic.
I wonder who lost the second mens doubles?
23/09/2003
3rd Team got off to a bad start losing 5 - 3 to Girobank, special thanks to Mandy Chesworth for stepping in and playing her first completive game, still this was not enough as we had two women missing and had to give away two vital games, this was unavoidable, and revenge will be had when we get them back to our place Note: The courts at Kirby have become very bad, the light is a as bad as always but now the floor is also very slippy and it is extremely noisy with the football from the other side of the hall regularly effecting play.
