World Championships 2005, Anaheim

to all our new friends from the IBF World Championships 05 held at the Arrowhead Pond, Anaheim, California

During our stay we visited 2 clubs in Los Angeles and 2 in Las Vegas.

We would like to thank 'Monkey' at the San Gabriel Valley BC, LA for his hospitality and the experience of playing for 7 hours in what I guess is the only 24h badminton club in the world.

During our time in Las Vegas we met up with Don Bolwaire who organises 5 clubs around the City. We had a wonderful time playing and socialising with their members.

  On our arrival at the Arrowhead Pond we approached Nathan to wish him luck, only to find out that his foot was strapped up following a training injury the day before. Our No.1 hopefuls were now out. Our next task was to check the draw for our local talent Ian Palethorpe, he was due to play Kwok Wa Liu & Albertus Susanto Njoto (HKG) ranked (15). The draw didn't look hopeful. The match went ahead on the Tuesday 16th, 2.40pm.
